The Lady Buffs shot 47.2 percent for the game on 25 of 53 from the field. The team was 3 of 12 from range and 13 of 19 from the line. The Lady Buffs had 15 assists with eight steals and pulled down 45 rebounds, outrebounding SEU by 17, including three on the offensive end and 14 on the defensive side. Decker was 5 of 12 from the field and 2 of 6 from the line, while Watson was 3 of 5 from the field with a triple and 4 of 6 from the line, along with a game-high five assists and recorded seven rebounds.
SEU shot 35.4 percent from the field as the Lady Buff "D" stymied the Hilltoppers in the second half holding them to 9 of 33 from the field for 27.3 percent. SEU was 5 of 20 from beyond the arc and went to the line just one time in the contest. SEU had 28 rebounds with 12 assists and 13 turnovers. Bailey Hill and Shakera Barnes each had 12 points in the game.
The Hilltoppers held a 37-34 lead with seven minutes left in the third period on a hoop-and-harm foul as it was the first lead for SEU since 5-0 to begin the game. From there, sophomore

Michaela Neuhaus as the Lady Buffs closed the quarter on a 9-0 run for a 43-37 lead.
In the fourth quarter, the Lady Buffs build a 15-point lead midway through as the Hilltoppers looked tired down the stretch and started missing the shots that kept them in the game earlier. Senior
Zantaya Davis scored on a jumper for a 58-43 lead with 5:54 left capping an 8-0 run and a 24-6 run since the seven minute mark of the third quarter.
SEU was unable to cut the deficit back to single-digits the rest of the way as the Lady Buffs made free throws down the stretch for the 14-point win.
All nine Lady Buffs who played scored as Parker had a game-high nine rebounds and scored eight points just missing a double-double. She was 4 of 8 from the field. Decker and Neuhaus each had five rebounds.
SEU scored the first five points of the game, but three consecutive steals and scores by the Lady Buffs gave them the lead which they would not relinquish the rest of the half. SEU cut the deficit from eight, which was the largest of the half, down to one five times, but was unable to get over the hump as WT had the answer each time the deficit was trimmed.
WT shot 13 of 25 from the field in the first half and were 2 of 5 from beyond the arc. The Lady Buffs went 4 of 4 from the line in the first half, while SEU shot 14 of 32 from the field for 43.8 percent. The Hilltoppers were 3 of 11 from beyond the arc in the opening half.
WT returns home for the 2015-16 home-opener Saturday at 2 p.m. versus New Mexico Highlands in the First United Bank Center.
