WTAMU Track & Field Complex

The West Texas A&M Track and Field Complex was completed in 2010 as part of the Buffalo Sports Park. The facility, home to three NCAA Division II Nationa Championships also features competition fields for soccer, softball and baseball along with tennis courts, outdoor basketball courts, three intramural fields for flag football and slow-pitch softball and practice facilities for football, soccer and the WTAMU Marching Band. The result was the creation of one of the nation’s premier collegiate sports complexes.

The track is a double-bend European style track with long gradual curves and a Beynon BSS 1000 running surface which is conducive to some very fast times.

There are four multiple-direction horizontal jump pits and runways on the east side of the stadium. The throws area is on the northwest fields of the Buffalo Sports Complex. The stadium can seat up to 1,500 spectators. The Lone Star Conference Championship was held here as part of the LSC Spring Sports Festival in 2013 as well as in 2020.
