Bailey ranks third all-time in receiving yards in a season with 1,552 and was a 1994 Academic All-America honoree.  He was first team Little All-America selection and ranks third all-time in receptions (221) and fourth in career receiving yards (2,677). 
 
He was part of the first WT football teams following the school dropping the sport in 1991.  His 1994 team went 9-2 under first year head coach Morris Stone as WT transitioned back into the Lone Star Conference.  It was the first winning season for the Buffs since 1986 and the nine wins marked the most since winning nine in 1962.
