CANYON, Texas – The #4 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M allowed two big swings on Friday and stranded 13 total base runners as they fell to the Pioneers of Texas Woman's, 3-0 in front of over 600 fans at Schaeffer Park as WT ended their 2017 season. The Pioneers advance to Championship Saturday with an overall record of 34-20 while the Lady Buffs end their campaign at 43-11.

The Pioneers jumped on the board first in the bottom of the second inning as they loaded the bases with two outs before Tara Solomon took a full count offering deep to the wall in left center field to clear the bases and give TWU the 3-0 lead.

The Lady Buffs finally showed some life in the top of the fifth inning as
Maddie Green and
Shayne Starkey singled to center field with one out before Abby Walker forced a flyout to left field for the second out before a grounder to first base ended the frame with TWU leading 3-0.

Kilee Halbert picked up the loss in the circle (22-4) for the Lady Buffs, giving up three runs on four hits with one walk and three strikeouts in the complete game loss.
